How come things like this slip into the cracks of news, while stupid shit like American Idol and Brittney Spears make headlines. Are we full of a nation of shallow idiots with no interest in anything other than fashion and celebrities?

    The dumbing down of Americans since I was a kid (in the 70s) is astronomical! Just take a look at school test scores, the hideously poor grammar and spelling in simple things like questions written in Yahoo Answers, and the idolatry of celebrities (and the most idiotic ones, at that!). Yipes.

    We no longer have a news media. We have a vast propaganda machine with an anti America agenda. It is not the people’s fault, it is the media’s fault. The media are the shallow idiots.
